Lakewold Gardens

The sun was out this weekend and so were the fairies! We took all the girls to the Lakewold Gardens' (always wanted to go there) Fairy Festival. We found 35 different fairy houses all over the property and 6 fairies, which allowed the girls to earn their fairy wings and their fairy names! The grounds were beautiful and the house in the middle of the property was gorgeous. It reminded me of the Huntington Beach Gardens and house outside of Los Angeles but on a smaller scale. These fairy houses were made by volunteers. I wish we could've made of helped make the houses 🏡. It would've been so fun constructing a fairy house. Maybe we will make one for our backyard. Charlie's name ended up being Rainbownest Bitterhorn. Lanie didn't like her name so she kept switching it around to find one she liked. Afterwards we went to Trader Joe's for groceries and Roundtable for salads. Great day with lots of sunshine!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
