Final Week

56 days gone, 62 buttons later, too many new friends to count, and one heart that has been changed forever!!! I am so happy to have her back from "The Best Summer of My Life!" Camp. She has changed in ways she will probably never tell me and is ready to conquer the world! Her next project is dog sitting from Friday the 18th to the 27th. I have no doubt that Ginger and Leo will love her!!! I'm not sure about her job plans for the future but there are plenty of options to chose from. Today we learned about Para educating jobs, IKEA warehouse jobs, Maris Farms temporary jobs as a few options! I'm a tad sad that everyone is showing pictures of their kids at College, and decorated dorm rooms but I can't tell you how proud I am that she is being financially responsible with her future. She said, "mom, don't worry (I do this a lot) I will have plenty of time to live in a dorm room and I won't be in debt when I do it." So I'm going to show you my daughter's college ready room!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
