My Guys
I love it when my guys get to hang out. Fortunately Ethan has had a lot of time with his dad because of their love of sports. Ethan has chosen soccer as his sport to play but he also loves watching nearly every other sport out there. RSA Soccer has started out rough for the team. After their first pratice the coach left, then they got an interim coach, and now a new one who is working with the interim to strengthen the boys. They have added a strengthening day to the calendar every week and are suppose to be sending us a diet for the boys that will help strengthen their muscles. Ethan is doing awesome! I never see him pausing during exercises or stopping in the middle of a run. He has stamina, and that doesn't just come from being skinny, it comes from determination. I've never realized this before about him. He is very intentional and dedicated. I hope and pray for that to transfer into his AP courses this year. I also pray for a good friend at Franklin Pierce for him this year. He will be solo this year and will most definitely feel it with Val being gone! His soccer club will be keeping us busy nearly every weekend during fall semester, as well as AP homework! It's time though, time to focus on my boy. He is such an sweet kind hearted young man. He knows how to treat a lady and that has been even evident with me lately. He opens doors for me and waits for me to walk through first.
His first game was in Walla Walla last weekend. Mark drove him to Pasco and stayed in the Tri-cities overnight. Mark showed him his childhood home and his elementary. They even geocached right near his old house in Pasco. Ethan's team ended up winning their first game because the other team had to forfeit for not registering some of their players. I can't wait until tomorrow to watch his next game since I didn't get to go last weekend. They had a good time together and Ethan got to drive from Pasco to Clelum. He's a great driver and is comfortable in the driver's seat.
He requests to drive constantly!
August 18th Ethan took Mark to a Seahawks preseason game for his birthday.
