Easter 2018

Jeremy was gracious enough to host Easter this year. I had time off work so we enjoyed the festivities at my brothers house. Easter egg hunts for both the youngest and olders were packed full of fun and drama! I think the adults hid the teens eggs too good!

The later one makes my heart ache. I was such a horrible sister on this Easter and I’m pretty sure I ruined the day for my sister and looking back makes it harder because that was the last holiday we spent with Mike. My thoughts have been on him lately. I feel like my heart breaks all over again when I think too much about him. I hate that he’s not here. I hate that I was such a heel that day robbing him of the last fun Easter get together. I hate that my mind thinks that maybe if I wouldn’t have been such a jerk that day that maybe his heart would’ve lasted one more day, or hours, or moments for his loved ones to enjoy. He was a wonderful man and is greatly missed!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
