We finally made it through birthdays 🎂! We are officially broke...just kidding. If anything broke us it’s the garage door that broke and the small fender fence collision we experienced. Either way we survived and still hanging in there. The calendar is swamped with stuff this month because soccer started up, piano is going, and Valerie is busier with college. The months are flying by. Ethan had a good conference, Charlie had a great report card, and Valerie smashed another semester of college debt free! She is contemplating returning to Camp Gilead this year if she isn’t scheduled to work at Pierce this summer. It will be easier because she has a car now! Next month we are looking forward to Charlie’s 1st Piano recital on April 15th. Mark the calendars. Also here’s Ethan’s soccer schedule for this year. 

Valerie received a very special birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Nagel. A ticket to Hamilton. I didn’t get a chance to go but I’m glad these two got to go. Valerie was in Heaven and it was more than she hoped for. It is an experience that will stay with her forever! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Nagel!!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
