Leaning In
This girl knows how to get me....what a sweet thing!
I love Ethan’s energy out on the field. He is constantly pushing himself to be better, go harder, be stronger, and win! He inspires me to do the same. I interviewed for a position within Multicare. I’m glad I did. Interviewing is scary but sometimes you just got to LEAN IN. I found this book about leaning in at a store in Olympia. Mark and I were waiting for the house to get cleaned so we headed down there for a coffee date and some browsing. Mark found a few used records for .98 cents and I read a good portion of a book by Sheryl Sandburg about purposefully leaning in, in all aspects of life. From marriage to job interviews she seemed to have all the right words to say to the nervous me. I eventually discovered that Mrs Sandberg leans in everyday as a COO for Facebook. This women is quite amazing and to top it all off she has TED talks which I absolutely love. I googled her, as I do with anyone I run across that inspires me or peaks my interest, and found that she isn’t just a pretty face with a powerful mind and a dream job she is also a grieving widow. Her husband, David Goldberg, passed away unexpectedly in 2015 while on vacation in Mexico. He fell off a treadmill after he expierienced a cardiac event. He was a business man too and created the website Survey Monkey among other things. I would love to hear this woman speak in person. She has recently released a book on grieving as well. I feel like she gave me answers to my interviewing questions and provided me with some great advice (my sister did too).
