I Had a Dream

She had a dream of owning a dog! 
I had a dream of taking that dog to the ocean.
We both realized dreams do come true
But sometimes it’s the hardest thing that happens to you.

Because MLK gave us an extra day off we packed everyone up and went to Ocean Shores. I was so happy everyone could make it until the trip there. Apparently Sasha gets car sick. All the way there she kept puking making the car ride almost unbearable. If it wasn’t for our music prompts I am not sure if I could’ve handle it. Thank goodness on the way back we found fun little treats called The Happy Traveler. She didn’t puke once and slept the whole way back. We shopped, ate, played a board game, swam, and Sasha and I attempted a Geocache but it was gone from its hiding spot and required maintenance. Sasha had a great time at the beach, running at the waves. She also played with this boy who worked at the hotel- every time she saw him it was the same song and dance. He would drop to the floor and she would lay kisses all over him. Embarrassing. Ethan got a funny little hoodie from the sharks shack that said “No Lives Matter” with a huge shark on it.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
