Still David after all these years...

Labrynth! Here is alittle fact that you probably didn't know about me. This movie, staring David Bowie, was my all time favorite when I was younger (years ago :)! I would rewind this crazy movie over and over again....wishing I was Sarah ( I would have stayed with the goblin king)! Weird thing is, I watched it again and still felt the same way about the movie, even though I am older and wiser now. So, I thought it was high time Valerie watched this fantasy based movie. I got it from Netflix because they have everything! We had a family movie night last night, after making Easter baskets, and coloring 18 eggs (they are going to have to eat lots of egg salad!). Valerie and Ethan both loved the movie. My tom boy daughter loved the beautiful princess' outfit the character wore when she danced with the goblin king. She agreed with me, that she would have stayed with the goblin king. Maybe it is David Bowie handsome looks...he hee. You should watch it and decide for yourself!!!! Would you stay with the goblin king???? I love sharing my childhood with the kids (since I remember so little of it )! Oh the excitement earlier in the day.....my kids played outside all day! Fresh air and exercise for those two little rascals. Unfortunately Ethan spiked a temperature early this morning so we had to cancel our plans to go to church for Easter. Don't worry mom and dad, we are going next week! I will publish some photo's of the kids later..Happy Easter!

Okay, where was I when this movie was popular (years ago). I've never heard of it . . . weird! I will try to find it and watch and see for myself how hot David really is!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
