Birthday Cake

How many children does it take to eat a T-Rex birthday cake? Rinn, I made this for my daughter's 5th birthday! I really enjoy being creative, but this was a hard one to think up. She still remember's getting to eat his eyeball (it was a junior mint). Tip for anyone using fondant-don't roll it out on the same surface that you laid fish on the day prior, not matter how much you've cleaned the counter!

Don't put the kid in shock but if it was for her 5's birthday there is only 4 candles on it. She got jipped. You know I had too.

Oops, I guess it was birthday number 4. When I went back to school the cakes came from Walmart.

You don't know me, but I'm a friend of Kristy's and got to your blog from hers. Just wanted to say that cake is AMAZING!!! From a totally non-creative person...I envy your skills! ;)

I rolled out the fondant and then cut the individual scales. I also used a sheet cake and cut it in pieces till I had the design I was looking for. I had alot of fun...minus the fish smell the got all over the first fondant!
