The beginnings of a new Journey!

We were asked by Journey church to join them at family camp last weekend. Due to my work schedule the kids and Mark left on thursday and I joined them later on Friday evening. We had a great time! The activities kept us hopping and the fellowship kept us happy. The kids had time to play with other kids without mom and dad underfoot. Here's a highlight of our days at Camp Beechwood: swam, played spades, learned new words playing balderdash, ate, scaled 7 foot high walls, flew through the air on zip cords, saved Valerie from drowning, played bunco, slept very few hours, socialized, ate smores around a campfire, had my hair "heidi" braided, realized even adults had to follow camp rules (no rubber duckies in the pool, Ryan!), had our first family devotions, and learned more than we needed to know about some of our new church friends (thanks for sharing Carolyn. It helped to know)! Journey has given us some of the greatest family memories to date! Thank you, our new found friends!

Val and her bugs...there was plenty to go around at the camp!

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's superman...wait no, IT'S ETHAN!

How do I get down from here?

Ethan GQing it with Adelyn!

Valerie begins her climb to the top!

I am appreciating God by protecting HIS creatures!

I had fun meeting you and your family. Hopefully it can become a lasting friendship. By the way, Michael had Mark for a class several years ago. He thought it was kind of weird. I can't imagine knowing your teacher outside of the class. I think that would be weird.

Great post! Just so you know, "I" took most of those pics!

(btw: thanks, Arnolds, for saying that I'm weird--but I already knew that)
