Sew I knit!

I stumbled across this interesting blog last night (reading blogs is very addicting) called SewIknit! A group of women have set up a club to encourage knitters to sew. Some are new at sewing and some (by their pictures) look like they have sewn for years. The whole jest of the group is to sew a chosen group item by such and such a deadline. I joined. I love sewing and felt like this would encourage me to jump back into my favorite hobby (scrapbooking tailing at a close second). I have always made clothes, p.j.'s, and totes for other people but never myself, until today. Although I am not quite finished I will let you see how I am doing on it. I was a little frustrated on the wording of the patterns directions, but maybe next time I will whip it up in two hours like it said! For those of you who don't know me too well, I actually taught myself to sew! I have managed to accomplish one awesome vogue pattern that I am very proud of, but the rest are just easy to sew patterns! If any of you want to join this group, start now! It's promising fun!

You're such a hippie at heart. All these "do-it-yer-selfer" projects. And, c'mon, look at the material for that shirt. Mind you! I'm not saying that it's bad. I actually like it. I also have a pair of jammi pants as proof of her talents. Thanks!

Okay, it is kind of hippie...but I'm glad Ang is finally getting to open up the machine again and do other things besides study nursing textbooks. Life is reemerging
...only better!

Congrats on sewing. I love to sew. It is great fun. I kind of taught myself. My mom and grandmother were sewers. I don't think I spelled that correctly. It looks like the word used for where your poop from the toilet goes.

Sorry off the subject a little bit. Stupid me I started out making Ashton a Halloween costume. That was the hardest thing I have done. I usually stick to the easy shirts, skirts and pants. I have no attention span and can't work for weeks on one thing. Anyways, I make most of my clothes. It's fun and I save money.

Please please please make me some of those cute, little shirts before the sun disappears here in WA!
