100 things about me...

Big "thanks" to dailypie for tagging me! I really enjoyed coming up with this list(had it done in a hour, but didn't want to post it in fear that no one would accept my free magazine offer below-posted now because tired of waiting). I actually made it to 105! Enjoy getting to know my life...

100 things…

1. Born in Puyallup Washington
2. Favorite Drink: Nonfat Iced Hazelnut Latte, light on the hazelnut
3. Pushed out of a cherry tree at age 9, and had to have surgery because of it
4. Married my cousin Ross at age 5
5. Went to Japan on a missions trip in 1992
6. Asked a college boy on a date (during girl ask guy week) while visiting my sister at her college.
7. Took my sister-in-law to Puerto Vallarta Mexico and had a little too much fun
8. First kiss was when I was 14, riding back from North Dakota unchaperoned on a train!
9. In high school my best friend admitted she was going to commit suicide so called and told her parents-friend hated me ever since! Friends don’t rat…I was told.
10. Cried and begged every year not to be sent back to the private school I attended.
11. Met Dean Koontz in Orange County, CA at a book signing!
12. Was asked by Richard Simmons himself if he could kiss me!
13. Worked at Alaska Airlines/Horizon Airlines for three years.
14. Moved to Boise Idaho when I was 25.
15. Dated two guys at the same time…by mistake (thought my boyfriend had broken up with me, sorry again Mark).
16. Started Scrapbooking 16 years ago
17. Found my sister her latest Boston Terrier…Jinx
18. Once weighed 134…and it wasn’t that long ago!
19. Married at the age of 21
20. Left out in a mall parking lot in Tacoma, at night, while my sister was visiting her boyfriend
21. While away at summer camp, all the kids thought I was a boy (maybe it was the short hair)
22. My Aunt Betty saved me from a “near drowning” at a lake in Washington
23. Was forced to ride on a tire that was tied to my dads VW while it was snowing (cried the whole time).
24. First job was at Rax Restaurant
25. Was caught kissing a boy in the freezer at Rax Restaurant
26. Asked a customer at Skippers Seafood restaurant if he knew where our Condom Bar was- clearly meaning to say Condiment Bar.
27. Rode a run away horse in Stanley, North Dakota
28. Was a virgin on my wedding day
29. So was my husband
30. Wrote a story about “the Butch family Vacation to North Dakota”
31. Was taught to 2-step by a distant cousin
32. My mom was the first person I called when I found out I was pregnant for the first time.
33. My husband refused to believe I was pregnant till I took two pregnancy tests and confirmed it by a blood test at our doctor’s office.
34. Wear long pants during the hot summer because my legs refuse to tan.
35. Was left to sleep in the city park in North Dakota at age 14, because my Uncle Ray decided to go to Minute to play Bingo and didn’t come pick me up!
36. Refused to tell anyone about my 2nd pregnancy till 4 months along (big mistake-major misunderstandings)
37. Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing
38. Worked as a Barista at a local espresso stand
39. Love Netflix
40. Have a hard time remembering my childhood…weird and don’t know why (maybe I need to see a hypnotherapist)!
41. Had a lymphadenectomy at 30.
42. Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer Rocks!
43. Plan to have picture taken in a cemetery when I am skinny-vamps beware!
44. Sometimes feel like I will never fit in here
45. Married to an English Professor!
46. Made friends with a Japanese exchange student when I was 14 and still keep in contact with her!
47. My first career choice was to work as a psychologist in the prison system.
48. Always dreamed of interviewing the murder “Ted Bundy”
49. My bridesmaid and the Best Man fainted during our wedding ceremony
50. The most times I’ve had sex in a day-5 (honeymoon 12 years ago…he hee)
51. Favorite Book “The Notebook” by Nicholas Sparks
52. Actually went hiking on my honeymoon (have pictures to prove it)
53. Had a boyfriend who was into “cutting” himself.
54. As a kid, loved to get Giant T ice cream for 25 cents a scoop
55. Addicted to Hummus
56. Favorite Alcoholic Drink: Vodka and Cranberry Juice
57. Live in a Dry County (didn’t know they existed till we moved to the South)
58. Repeated Kindergarten because “I didn’t color in the lines” or something like that
59. Collected 55 “Mary Moos”
60. Hair color has been brown, black, red, and blonde during the past five years
61. Conceived both children during annual “anniversary trips”
62. Drive a Hyundai Santa Fe
63. Always loved “Sunday drives” as a kid
64. As a kid, irrigated the front lawn with a screwdriver (dad’s idea)
65. First movie saw on a date (at age 17) “Milo and Otis”
66. At 16, my mom made me walk out of the movie “The Little Mermaid” with her because she thought Ursula the sea witch was too evil!
67. Favorite toy as a child…my “doctor kit” by Playschool
68. Best memory as a kid…Progressive Dinners and Christmas with my whole extended family.
69. My first sex talk went like this “you know you can’t get pregnant by kissing, right?”
70. I volunteered, when I was 15, as a Page for the House of Representative at the Washington State Capital
71. Have “STRONG” chocolate cravings every 28 days!
72. Loved camping as a kid
73. This is the year I was born!
74. When seeing my husband for the first time I thought he was either a mobster or Bo Brady from Days of our lives!
75. Spent last year as an avid vegetarian (goal that my husband and I had made)
76. Taught myself to sew
77. Love Tim’s Cascade Salt and Vinegar chips.
78. Never attended a “school dance” (It didn’t exist at the private school I attended)
79. Long term goal: to get my Nurse Practitioner’s License
80. Places I’d like to live: Japan, London UK, Washington State
81. Have been hit by a drunk driver (it totaled my husband’s sports car)
82. Was told by my 6th grade teacher that I would not recognize my friends and family in heaven.
83. The movie I could watch again and again: Save the Last Dance
84. Once had a job working with Alzheimer’s residents at a nursing home
85. Have tipped drag queens at a gay bar
86. During college, kept secret pack of cigarettes (in locked box) for when I was angry
87. Love reggae style music
88. Have the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical on CD
89. Have never kept a steady checkbook register
90. Favorite wedding gift still in use: iced tea maker
91. Designed a custom wedding ring for my husband on our five-year anniversary (he lost it six months later)
92. Recently bought Charmin Ultra toilet paper and will NEVER go back to the cheap stuff
93. Once I secretly held hands with a boy and found out later he was also holding hands with my sister who was sitting on his other side
94. Took a pilgrimage to New York and went to Ellis Island in 2004
95. I absolutely refuse to fold socks
96. Have eaten fresh crab and octopus on Anderson Island in the Puget Sound
97. Have had to catheterize a 400+lb woman…tough job but somebody has to do it
98. Have witnessed a surgical amputation
99. Fell in love while dancing in a gazebo on a starlit night
100. Been married for twelve amazing years to the same man(I think my husband went in here and changed this...because I recall using the word long somewhere in this sentence-JK)

Thanks Rinn! When you get the moves down to the last scene in "Save the Last Dance", let me know! Becoming a nurse was a ton of hardwork, the job is a pleasure! I enjoyed your pics of the cakes, I will try to post my favorite "kid cake" I've made. Pretty cool...t-rex!

Yikes! I've been tagged! I'll do my best to think of 100 things about myself (narcissistic as that may be). Is it considered cheating if some are duplicated? For instance, if I use #71 will I get in trouble or will people just get very confused? :)
Ok now here we go.

#34 One day you will shed those pants. This is you and who cares what colors your legs are. If it wasn't for us, how would other people know they were tan.
#69 Don't worry about your sex talk your mom's home ec teacher told her she could get pregnant if you take a bath in a bath tub right after a boy took his bath. She believed that too.
