First Summer Swim

I am totally digging this filmloop! It allows my mom to see tons of pictures at one time! Anyways, the kids and I enjoyed the day at the city pool with my friend Wendy and her kids. We had a great time relaxing, swimming, talking, and trying to get a little sun to darken the whites of our legs. Ethan spent the whole time walking, not diving or jumping, off the diving board. He is my daredevil. Valerie spent most of her moments practicing her underwater swimming moves! She is close to becoming a unsupervised swimmer! Although when I left her in the shallow end she decided it wasn't for her and put her floaties on! I did have a Shanny moment later on when I came home and found that my husband didn't instantly, verbally appreciate me for taking the kids away for three hours! I don't know if I am the only one who feels this way, but when do I get three hours alone in my home by myself? I wouldn't know what to do with myself! A Queen in her castle alone...one can only DREAM~ I am so tired that Wally (ie hellmart, or Walmart) will have to wait till tomorrow (Thanks mom)!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
