Back to School!

Friday is crunch day! The kids' future teachers will be plastered all over the locked doors of the local elementary schools (locked for the appropriate reason of having PO parents who want to switch their teacher selection). I on the other hand, just want to know! I want to prepare...to get the waiting over. The annual back to school time has arrived super fast for us. I have been busy adjusting to my work schedule and have not noticed the time whizing by (unless I am waiting for a day off). The kids are getting excited, and Ethan can't hardly contain himself when he thinks about going to the school with the blue roof. He gets all giggley about going to "the big school." After all the hype settles, we realize that the desperate phone calls from both side of our families will ensue. My mom, now the she is linked up with a cell phone, will call while shopping, frantically claiming "I left the kids' sizes at home." Mark's mom, on the other hand, will take the sizes with her, and then buy a lesser size claiming "the kids haven't gotten that big!" So, I thought I would post their sizes. I still expect the phone calls, but at least this will give them something in writing to remember (Jules, relay this post to mom if you go school shopping with her). I am very grateful to have both of my "mom's" helping us out. The kids end up with clothes that don't come from the local stores, and our unique to both of their tastes. You should've seen Valerie as a baby...always dressed in the latest Gymboree outfit bought by Grandma N. Here's their sizes...! Pictured to the left are clothes from Children's Place and Old Navy.

Valerie:
Shirt, skirts, pants, and dresses - Size 8
Shoes- Size 2

Ethan:
Shirt, pants- Size 7/8
Shoes 13.5 (or it might be called size 1)

I have been checking that peacock shirt out for my girls at Old Navy-I like unusual items, although my kids always seem to be dressed like everyone else-go figure!
