Hwy 101

Our journey south continued from Gold Beach to Bodega California.

We started the morning in Gold Beach Oregon with plans to go to the famous Gold Beach Books. Coffee and books is a great way to start every morning. Gold Beach produced a couple of books that peaked our interest and will be a great addition to our minds and bookshelves. Mine consisted of low carb cookbook and a fictional book.

We spent one hour there and then started our descent deep into the Redwoods after a hour at the bookstore and a quick stop at Fred Meyer’s for yummy keto breakfast and salads for lunch;)

We stopped at Trees of Mystery and took the Gondola ride deep into the Redwoods! It was beautiful regardless of the rain. The walk in the forest was exactly what we needed to relax. We climbed way up and took suspension bridges to the tops of the forest. I am not afraid of heights normally but even I was slightly nervous high up in those trees!

We made it to Bodega around 2030. Sonoma Villa Coast was the perfect end to a busy driving day.  We ate our meat, cheese, avocado, and green garlic stuffed olives before calling it a night!

Day 2 done! Angela Out—
