Salsa and Sleep

I slept in till 9am! I am currently enjoying 8 hours of low census..which I hope turns into 12. I just helped Mark make fresh salsa for us and am excited to make fish tacos tonight and spend some extra time with my precious family. Although Mark had a few moments of non preciousness today...haha! We had a great time talking about life this morning...without trying to solve problems. I believe those are the best talks. I’ve also tried to come up with different career ideas this past week. My kids and mark have suggested several options, the best idea was State Representative! Mark said I would look great on paper, whatever that means. As I contemplate that idea, I have stumbled across a position working in nursing informatics. Interested. Although I would be leaving bedside nursing, I would be joining a team that helps nurses document better and work more efficiently. Maybe.

My kids have been talking Christmas. I don’t want to talk Christmas. Christmas is expensive. I enjoy getting the kids treats but I feel like I do that all year. All year. So here’s my Christmas list: let me clarify, SILENCE with my whole family.
