We ❤️ Ballot Boxes 🗳
When I think of Fall I think of trees changing color, Halloween, my Dad’s Birthday, football, soccer, hat weather, scarecrows, pumpkin patches and Voting! We vote by mail-in ballots because life gets busy and we like to research each person and proposition. We have taught Valerie to be a responsible voter and not to necessarily vote along party lines but after careful consideration and reading about each candidate to then decide who she would prefer to be in office. We tend to agree on most issues but occasionally I am a bit outside of the norm. I don’t agree with tying the hands of our Police Officer with legalistic ties and more mental health training- they already receive training in this area. I say let the police do what they need to do. Also I refused the extra tax for the library system...maybe they should reallocate their current budget and not buy computer screens for the libraries. It’s a waste of money and people don’t use that access appropriately. They should stick with books, and pay their employees. All the other stuff people can choose to work hard and buy their own computers. Those were the big ones I didn’t agree with. I don’t want to raise my taxes to pay for anything else! It’s rediculous.
In the kids zone, Charlie chose dinner tonight! She requested Flounder (I used Sole because I couldn’t find flounder) and broccoli with cheese sauce. It was absolutely yummy. I mixed Johnny’s seasonings with some plain bread crumbs and dredged them in the mixture. Baked it for 8 minutes while the broccoli was steaming in the instant pot. A little Velveeta cheese on top and a side salad rounded out the mean perfectly!
