They're Back

Well, Ryan and Charlie are home! Valerie is NOT😞. I miss my kids when they aren't here. I got the little monster home and immediately got her clean and all spiffed up. It included a double hair washing with conditioner in the sink, a wash rag face wash, a foot soak in the sink, a tub bath with soap, more spray in conditioner for after the tub, hair brushing, and a large dose of body butter applied to both legs/feet/face/temples/forehead and lips. I did miss her teeth but when she wakes up I will get those too. Mr Silky was also washed and is now wrapped up near her as she sleeps. She will probably be out for the night I assumed. She and Ethan insisted on AAA Buffet so we spent this weeks eating out on 1 meal! She ate so much! I think all she ate this week was 25.00 worth of candy! I'm so glad she is home. Valerie is spending this weekend at a counselor retreat so I saw her for about 1 hour. Long enough for me to sweep and clean her cabin, drop off some things she requested, and grab laundry that I will return tomorrow when I take Ethan up to Redmond!!! Whew. I'm open to suggestions on what to do with the kids this week....

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
