On the Road Again

I promised Ethan last week that if he past his Driver's Permit I would take him to see Cait on Sunday. He passed!!! Little did he know I wanted to go to see Val, the Play at the outdoor theater, and geocache anyways. It gave him motivation (regretting the plea now because we are sitting at the DMV waiting in a sea of people--where did all the people come from--for his permit).  Let me just say loudly...I HATE THE DMV!!! It's rediculous. What if the hospital treated OB triage like the DMV? Grr. Okay back to girls day now. Charlie and I dropped Ethan off at 0915, geocached at Merrymoor Park for a couple hours, had lunch in Fall City and then went to see the play Once Upon a Mattress at the Snoqualmie Forest Falls Theater. It was a cute play on the Princess and the Pea and with regard to the plot twist, I had it figured out by intermission. Charlie was so surprised I guessed the twist. It was a great little theater but the seats were horrendous. They were all slanted down hill and it was hard to keep my butt on the seat. I had to hold myself up by putting my feet on the seat in front of me (even Chars little butt had the same problem). That aside, it was a cute well acted play especially by the Queen, Knight Harry, Larkin, and the Princess. I love making memories with the kids. After the play we rushed back to take Valerie her laundry, take her to the local store for miscellaneous items, and eat dinner. Her fellow camp counselor Izzy saw us there and sat and ate pizza with us. Apparently they are both determined to be Camp Counselors till their 30! Ha ha ha. Valerie is loving it, except times when her kids aren't being nice to each other. She said that Charlie is an Angel Child compared to some of these kids. Ha ha ha! I enjoy seeing her grow through this process. The Camp really loves on their counselors and it is helping me let go and let God and others mold her, shape her, and refine her. She is AN AMAZING lady!!!! She is growing in her responsibilities. We are so lucky to have gotten 18 years loving her. We are luckier to have her in the house for another year while she goes to Pierce College in the fall.

Well we finally left the DOL, Ethan corrected me on the name, and are now at Pioneer Park enjoying some cousin time in the spray park. Ethan is legally allowed to practice driving. My kids are growing up so fast.
