Fast friends!!
Indigo Urgent Care
For 24 hours it was pure bliss. Everyone home under the same roof! My perfect heaven!!! Valerie agreed to come home and get some rest and medicine so that she could finish the rest of the two weeks out, and also to see Blue (her new to her car). It is a Saturn Vue with lots of spunk and a little vinegar (stick shift)! She loves it and has already driven her pretty well! I forgot to take a picture of the two of them but I will. It was hard to pack a 3 hour drive on two days, go to Indigo, get medicine, make dinner, play cards, sleep in, watch Jurassic World (hence where her car's name come from), do every bit of laundry in the house, have her spend time driving, eat lunch/dinner together, get Ethan to Nancy's to watch her dogs, and give the littlest a foot bath! Yikes. It was worth it. She sounded better when she left, and had clean clothes, and a fresh pair of flip flops to destroy this week at camp!
Ethan had a wonderful time at camp hanging out with Caitlyn! Apparently Val was extremely jealous that Ethan snubbed her all week. Caitlyn was also a tad jealous of Ethan's friendship with a guy named Evan at camp. Girls!!! Ha ha ha. He is getting to be so mature. I had a great morning with him this morning. He loves chilling over a cup of Joe and we talked about his goals this next year, AP course homework, what it means to have true GRIT, and also found ourselves diving into God's word together. He shared his favorite verses with me which was 2 Timothy 2:11-14! He read me all of chapter 2 and read me who was writing the letter and why! What a awesome person God is allowing me to raise!!!
Charlie is struggling getting back to the daily grind. I'm afraid that Netflix and the iPad has done a bang up job babysitting her this summer but it's time I stepped in. We practice math facts, did some reading, and took a shower even though we had no where planned to go. She drug her feet in defiance every step of the way and has literally taken all the wind out of my sails for today. I needed up snapping at Mark because of it. I need to get back in control and stop worrying about if she is having enough fun throughout her day. It is time to get serious!!
And then there's the kitties! They are silly beings!!!
And me...just trying to get organized!
