So even though Val is gone we need to keep forming memories with these two. If we didn't pull them out of their rooms I'm pretty sure they would stay in there indefinitely. The one thing they don't mind doing is geocaching! I absolutely love it and am very competitive so sometimes I even try them when I am out by myself. I'm not as good as Mark, Charlie, or Ethan but I am good at the researching part to see what other hints I can find that will allow me to log the cache! Either way the Chris Slaughter rule is always a part of the caching experience when we are geocaching as a family. Whoever finds the cache earns their ice cream. We have yet to have a day when someone doesn't earn their ice cream!!! After walking around all over Wildwood, my baby was super tired. She asked Ethan for a piggyback ride and surprisingly he agreed without hesitation! I love seeing these two bond!!!!! We sent this last picture to Valerie. We sure do miss her!!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
